After reading all this about the struggles of the supposed top teams in the A10, excluding X. I am reminded of a post from the beginning of the season that talked about how the conference restructured the way conference games were put together with the top 4-5 projected teams in the conference playing each other twice then only play the other teams once and the other way around. This was to make the conference look a little better.
Is this true still? and if so, could that be why the other top teams, have struggled and have lead to teams like Richmond being tied for 2nd.
How many teams will the A-10 get in?

I don't think that ties directly to the reason that those programs have struggled. I mean they are losing to LaSalle and Fordham... that's what screwed up Charlotte, SJU and Dayton..

However,
No one mentions St. Joe and Temple. If Xavier does not win the tournament, I think it will be one of those two. But if that happens, Then either URI or Umass is out No more than three. I'm not sure Dayton would even get in if they were to win the tournament.

Umm... winnning the tournament is an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. So, unfortunately, Dayton would be in if they won the A10 tourney.
