TRIVIA ? Back at The Gardens

I had an idea the bell had a melt down due to noise rules. also had an idea the epee was hung up before WMD. don't distinctly remember the drum beat mentioned but i do remember people could buy beer by the tray...it's a good time to look forward but sometimes glance back. any other flashbacks? i remember Duquesne at The Gardens and some convict in a Dukes uniform sucker punched! kevin frey. Nasty..I thought there might be a riot..

The bell was retired sometime between 88-90. The band used to ring it after every basket and the NCAA said x couldn't do that anymore. The last time I saw the bell it was at the Schmidt Fieldhouse in the band room.

Now I recall.....2 points, 2 rings..

The bell lives?? it should be a shrine in the Cintas, then, rung only on special occasions, as in tolling yet another defeat of dayton, one for each year....winning the league reg season...senior night send out...

Can some one confirm they have seen the bell lately please??

The last time I saw the bell was in '93. Ask a current band member if it is still in the band room, it probably is. We didn't move it around too much because it weighed a ton.
