Is this the very best two, maybe three game stretch EVER by a Muskie? seriously. Stat men, get to it! I'm too drunk tonight!
Bob Quick's season ending run with The Cobra is arguably more impressive. I did not get to see Thomas in his heyday, though I did see him drop 45 against Detroit in his black low cut Chucks...did he have any comparable runs? Lionel was pretty impressive in The Run, but I dont have a distinct memory of putting two together like that.

Still, a burst to be remembered. The guy is just money at the end of the game right now.

Carlos,
Hate to nit-pick but Steve only wore hightops while at X. The Bird wore lowcuts. Also, the team last wore black Chucks in the 62-63 season and Steve lit up Detroit for 50 at the Fieldhouse and 45 at Detroit a month wearing white Chucks.

BTW, does anybody remember who hit the winning shot at Detroit? (Hint: He only had one eye.)

I am sure that any errors in my memory will be corrected by Wise.

It could just be that he's finally healthy; those of us who have had bad backs know that you can't play basketball with one. Remember we beat out Kentucky for his sevices, so the talent has always been there. At this rate he may have a shot at playing his natural forward position in the NBA. He's never really been a back to the basket center, but has had to play there out of necessity.

Lead, you are either an old timer or read your X history. However, either way you are right.
Bob Knight told me a few years back that he thought that team was a Top 10 team, but it had some type of cancer.

I won't go further than that.

gym, you could be right about being healthy. I also think he knows it is his last go round and he has confidence. I notice that he is showing more emotion with the fist pumps and the yell.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.
