Bill Bradley
Somehow I don't see Erik Edwards making the list. Where's the love for Double E, Mr. DE player of the year?

Re: ESPN top 25 Players all time
Being too young to have seen Oscar, the best player I ever saw play in college, in person, was Austin Carr. I'm not talking TV, where names like David Thompson and Bill Walton come to mind. Austin's last two years he averaged 35 ppg, without either a three-point line or shot clock.

Hurley is not on that list, no way in hell. However you should see len bias, danny manning for sure and you might even see Hank Gathers soon.

Didn't Calihan or Vitale have a great college player at Detroit who went on to have a fine NBA career? I just can't remember his name. Must be a touch of Denny Crane's Mad Cow Disease!

Re: ESPN top 25 Players all time
Maravich was my all-time personal favorite, and he absolutely has to be on that list. Artis Gilmore (TRIVIA Q: anybody remember the name of his fellow 7-foot teammate? Bonus TRIVIA Q: Anybody remember the musical instrument the teammate played?) should probably be there too. Dean "The Dream" Memminger doesn't make top 25, but if there's an "honorable mention" category, I'd throw him there.

Huh? I agree about Van Horn...but Shane Battier should be in the Top 5. He was All-Everything in college. It could be argued that he's the all-around best college player in the last 20 years.Xpectations wrote:If Shane Battier or Keith Van Horn are even in the Top 200 that would be ridiculous.
There's nothing he wasn't good at. He scored, he defended, he rebounded, he blocked shots, he led, he won, etc, etc, etc.

Re: ESPN top 25 Players all time
Here's the top 11 names to me, in no particular order, and I 'm not sure which one doesn't make the top 10:
Lew Alcindor
Michael Jordan
David Thompson
Oscar Robertson
West (Jerry that is)
Magic Johnson
Larry Bird
Bill Walton
Bill Russell
Pete Maravich
Patrick Ewing
Potentials for 12-18: Ralph Sampson, Chris Mullin, Jerry Lucas, Danny Manning, Hakeem Olajuwon, Bill Bradley, Rick Mount, Lenny Bias, Christian Laettner, Bob Lanier, maybe Isaiah Thomas (not sure how they will look at only two years).
