Re: Houston Game thread
I hate missed front ends, unless it is by the opponent
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

22 points off turnovers, ouch. Game too fast for Swain, Miller should have pulled him.

Re: Houston Game thread
Houston likes to push and hook a lot. X settled down but was still not consistent in scoring, except for Quincy, who helped get us back in the game. TUGLER is only 6'7", but his reach helps him play inside and get rebounds. Abou had a nice first half, and the foul they called on him was bad call as he was set and not reaching on his pick.
We need a couple more guys to start scoring because Houston's D will be here all night. Guys need to know that dribbling the ball to get a score does not happen with this group but keep moving it
I was disappointed that X didn't score in one of the two possessions they had in last minute

All good points MM. We just lack scorers and inside defense

Re: Houston Game thread
My first thought is where is Basketball Jones when we need him. Nice comeback but we need some guys to be a lot tougher. Swain has three terrible turnovers and is getting thrown around like a rag doll. He also telegraphs his passes. Djokovic also is getting tossed around. I know they are freshman but both need to fight a lot harder. Nice to see Olivari making some much needed threes. Claude came to play and Ousmane had his best half so far this season. Ciani is raw but not afraid and doing some banging in there. Very relieved that we fought back. Foul shots and turnovers are again a problem.

Re: Houston Game thread
I almost forgot. We need to mix in some ball fakes and head fakes. Houston is trying to block everything. Go X

Djokovic and Swain are not physically ready to hold their own against a team like Houston. They are getting run over.

Re: Houston Game thread
X's biggest nemesis has shown its ugly head at the start of the second half... good shots, bad results. Scored first but since then missed shot after shot, some within feet of the rim. last five missed
