Kunkel is X's version of JP. Hopefully, Steele won't repeat the mistake he made ag. the Johnnies and limit his PT when he was/is the only credible 3 pt shooting threat. With him and Free in the game, X will inevitably have to play more zone.
Promising Edwards got some playing time early, hopefully to curtail this problem Free and Scruggs can get some much deserved pine time!

Miles needs to get some PT, b/c Sonogo is manhandling Nunge. Needs to take some of Free;s minutes. Even his misses are 3 foot shots.

Man there just has to be something wrong with Scruggs. Thought he was pressing earlier in the year now I just think he has given up hope. Just lazy and disinterested with horrible mistakes.

Not sure what Hunter brings to the table, especially over Edwards and Miles. I guess he fits into the team better with the same horrible shot selection, getting lost in transition on both sides, and a complete disinterest in rebounding.

Kunekl and Nunge should not leave the court except for a couple 2 minute blows twice per half. This is the game where Steele tries different lineups. Missed the ample opportunities to do it during the Non-Conf season. No one can guard Sonogo, particularly Freemantle.

Steele's inability to understand you need someone with size-girth, Miles or Edward to guard Sonogo is mind boggling.

Scurggs continues to be a mess. Anyone know why Nunge sat for 8-9 straight minutes?

This could get ugly. They're getting abused on the glass.

I think it already is ugly. This team will go nowhere if Scruggs cant play like we know he can.

It looks like several players have lost interest. I cannot blame them given that Travis pulled Nunge after he scored and got a steal and left Free in. When the coach opts to play struggling players over those playing well, it can be very frustrating.

I didn't see the last game due to a work engagement but from the stats, Scruggs played very well. Limited TOs, good shooting % and assists. Maybe the box score was incorrect?

Today, Scruggs definitely looks disengaged and error prone.

UConn goes on an 18-3 run to close the half. Steele's adjustment? Keeping their best player Nunge on the bench. Losing a historically good recruiting class is worth the risk, if things do not take a 180 turn. This has been the trend during Steele's tenure, coaching X out of tourney. I wonder if the P & G would replace their CEO if their stock lost 25% of their value four years in a row?
