What makes you think that? The bar wasn't high for a credible replacement considering Manning's record, and with Wake playing for a program which has had success a decade ago, in an elite conference, and probably a 400%+ raise would certainly draw a lot of interest. However, in this case, I'm sure there were "innocent" informal discussions with coaches over the past couple of years.

Well, thecoach, I know what you mean when you speak of "boots on the ground." I am in the midst of writing what I call a Bio-File for my grandchildren. Every day deal dealing with the question: What to put in. What to leave out. And, of course, what to post on Musketeer Madness.
I am thinking now about a guy named Victor Dial, and have decided not to go there. Even though I did have some "boots on the ground."
