He scores less than 3 points a game ..average for the season. To a team that is ranked in scoring average in the 200s out of 351 division one teams. So the offensive scoring loss is minimal at best.
i get that but it's the "minutes played" factor that takes its toll on all the other players. doesn't really show up in the stats but usually has a negative impact on everyone else's stats because they are tired, etc. doesn't show up in the not getting to 50/50 balls as well.

It's not a devastating loss but he has given better minutes than Caslin or Welage lately. Those 2 need to step up NOW.This is it for them and they probably came to X to play in the NCAA tournament.Need some type of contribution.

For those who do not believe Hardin's absence this eve will have much impact, I disagree. Were this Butler, or Creighton, sure. But this is going to be an extremely fast-paced athletic game. Hardin much more adept lately in this type of game than is Wellage. Wellage is not as quick and cannot defend the Johnnies' as well as he could some of the other teams in our league. Can we win, hell yes. But you will see Goodin, Scruggs and Marshall each with 37+ minutes tonight. Hopefully no serious foul trouble. We shall see but I would have loved to have Hardin's length and quickness helping out on D for a few minutes here and there tonight.
Thanks Elias.....

Looks like Castlin and Welage picked up the slack... Now Harden needs to learn and put it behind him... Dan

Castlin and Welage definately picked up the slack and put themselves back in the mix for more playing time. The fact that the team stayed out of foul trouble also allowed them to comfortably play 7 players without wearing out which won't always be the case. In the games when the refs are calling a foul fest 7 players are not enough.

i believe that played a factor in the game last night as in the first half, i literally was saying "man, you gotta get HACKED for them to call a foul in this game." not sure why announcers were saying that Mullin was going after refs at halftime about the fouls. maybe the LACK of calls? because at half it was like 6 fouls on us and only like 3 on them so i'm not sure why he was pissed at half. i get why he was in the 2nd half but our team does a pretty good job of going straight up on guys who drive, etc. we aren't "hand-checkers" on D either. and we have two "erasers" in the lane in Ryq and Hanky so our guys trust that they can make guys adjust their shots or just block them if they get beat.

If i'm Mullin i'm mad about the foul disparity in the 2nd half but you're still IN that game. you gotta calm down and not implode on your team.
