Question about Trevon

I think last year Tre had 20+ against them. They concentrated their defense to stop him and let someone else beat them. Macura and Kanter almost did, but as said, the FT's, fouls and turnovers hurt us. Creighton did the same with the defensive player of the year but Goodin stepped up. Last year Gates also stepped up. I am still disappointed and hate to wish my life away waiting for next year, but it was a great year.

We can analyze Tre all day--one game out of 120! The bottom line is he is in a very similar position to Byron Larkin. A terrific college player, shooter, and winner, but a bit too small and maybe not as quick as the typical NBA player or skilled as a ball-handler to be a PG. (Sato, too, could shoot, rebound and defend but not handle the ball.) I still think with Tre's quick release and range that someone will take a chance on him and he could be another JJ Reddick or Kyle Korver with a long NBA career. If not, he will make plenty of money overseas and be one of their stars, like Sato. He has a four year degree and ten years of basketball ahead of him. Make money; save money; invest wisely, travel the world and enjoy the next ten best years of his life!

Great season so I don't want to sound like sour grapes here. If Trey was covered so tightly why didn't they run more sets/screens to get him open or use him as a decoy. I saw a lot of standing around when JP was on the bench during those critical minutes. This is more critical of in game coaching than Trey.

JP looked like the only one playing with a real sense of urgency.I really think if he doesn't get in foul trouble,we win that game.Sadly an unceremonious last game for Tre.I thought going into the tournament that he and JP would have to play their best for us to advance.
