In an interview this fall he said that, every 15 minutes, he thinks of playing in the Final Four, and that that''s why he left Xavier for Arizona.

What a bitter pill it will be for him when he sees Xavier make the Final Four before Arizona.

This cannot actually be legitimate umbrage. This is a guy who has been a loyal, supporter of X since his departure, but admitted he left X b/c he thought he had a greater chance to win a NC, at a place which has been to several F-4s and won 1 or 2 NCs, and our feelings are hurt? Despite the latter, and having his pay tripled, it still was a very hard decision, as he initially turned them down.

I think he would have probably stayed if X offered a legitimate counteroffer (even though it could still never approach what AZ could pay), and if X was in the BE. The bloom fell off the rose for me with SM with the whole Book R scandal. He is and should be presumed innocent until proven otherwise, but I have my own suspicions. However, it didn't change what he accomplished at X, and the fact that he is still a mentor and huge supporter of CM.

I wonder how those outraged would feel if CM left for Tenn after his 1st year, which was allegedly going to happen if Tenn didn't have looming sanctions, or left for CA, which was a done deal until his wife vetoed it. I'm sure some would come up with clever juvenile nicknames that would make my 6-year-old nephew giggle. I know what I'd do: Cheer on his new team for his efforts at X.

Can someone please post the link to the real reason we won't allow Sean to play in our sandbox anymore? You know, the one where he was caught on hidden camera plotting to contaminate the water supply at X.

As usual you've completely overblown the situation. I'm not "outraged" as you claim, but simply now sour on him b/c 9 years after he left he still has to makes references specifically to "why" he left. I am just glad that he wasn’t around when Book Richardson was charged. That would’ve been devastating for X’s program. I do think he helped increase recognition of X during his tenure here.

I know he was the guy that said Blossom was the best ever series on TV in the mid 90s and then went on a rant saying that his heartthrob Mayim Bialik may never get another TV job because of the way they handled her. Sure he can be a little high strung when he speaks about his besties Thad and Sean even though he privately thinks Sean is the leader of the cabal to corner the market on top 5 star players and Thadd spells his name wrong but who doesn't. AH is a true blue (no pun intended) X fan and he can prove it as he is celebrating his 10 year as Fr Graham's polar plunge buddy and this year he was tested beyond most fans endurance when they both decided on speedo's 1" solar briefs. Graham was okay but AH looked slightly worse than Jabba the Hut in a thong. So no Ah would never ever in a billion years overblow a situation on here

In fact, I didn’t even reply to your original post directly, because it was meant for posters collectively who fixate on every word Sean Miller says or does. Dial that Sensitivity Meter of yours down about 12 notches. As I’ve said before, I hope Brandon Mack chooses a profession like being a Forest Ranger, Accountant, or any other noble job other than college basketball coach. Imagine if he became a videographer for X, then was hired to become an assistant coach at UC. Oh the horror! I think a detractor would lead a mob with torches carrying a big sign which says “Remember where you came from!”

I wonder if anyone whose feelings got hurt holds ill will for guys like Gaston and Bernard, because they left their low mid-major teams because they wanted to play for a higher profile program? I remember when Skip left for Wake, and made a comment about wanting to coach in the best league in America. Uh oh, now I’ve done it. Please, nobody tag that great man with an immature, posthumous nickname which has been done with previous coaches, who didn’t tattoo a big “X” sign on their forehead, and pledge undying loyalty when they left for greener pastures.

For your New Year’s resolution, will you please show some courage as one of the board moderators by publicly shaming posters who invent juvenile nicknames for former Xavier coaches, even if they are one of your contemporaries? I’m speaking of the same courage our dearly departed former Board Moderator Neutral showed when I pleaded the same thing three or four years ago. Actually, I should probably give them the benefit of the doubt by assuming it was one of their grandkids who must have posted it. Surely, no educated adult would do that right? If you do, I’ll petition Cintas to allow you to attend games without the restraints they put on Hannibal Lecter, lest you continue berating officials for always being biased against X. I for one believe your conspiracy theory is valid, btw. What’s the number up to now: 74,302 conspired, illegitimate calls on X, & 0 called on our opponents?

First of all, though I thank you for the compliment, something many Milfs have recognized as well, but I don't roll that way....Not that there's anything wrong with it!

Why is this strange? It is very telling about some of your posts and opinions, however, so thanks for clarifying that. Sorry, objectivity is one reason the Board Moderators on this board have put me in the highly coveted Jr.'s Moderator's Program. Simply put, I base opinions on the individual situation, regardless whom the person (s) involved is. For example, as much as I despise the guy personally, I think Cronin handled the brawl and aftermath much better than CM, and said so.

I also thought CM handled the brouhaha during this past Shootout much better than Cronin, and said so. See how that works?
