MU 1-3-1 is a little more aggressive than ours but concept is the same - try to force contested 3's. i can say this - Nova just started MISSING, and A LOT of them were open 3's. and MU started MAKING shots. hmmm, go figure how that works.

however, ending the game against a Nova team on a 20-4 run is pretty remarkable.
Wojo made the comment after the game that Nova had an off night shooting.
Nova shot 6-34 from 3 or 18% - their worst % from 3 in a game so far this year.
Was it the 1-3-1 or did Nova have a bad night shooting or some combination of both?
In Nova's loss to Butler, they shot 6-26 from 3 or 23% which is their 2nd worst 3 pt % in a game this year.

I agree it is a good league but as I said during the discussions to join the league, Butler, Xavier and Creighton are keys to making this league legit. Beyond Nova and 2 or 3 other true BE teams, the league is middle of the road without the additions. I would have much preferred to drop the BE name and potentially bring VCU, Wichita St and another team or 2 from the A-10 while dropping DePaul, and another team or 2, it has worked out fine. I assume we get full revenue share, otherwise I still consider this a disaster given X, Butler and Creighton are the primary drivers of the leagues success, behind Nova of course.

Can we seriously move the tournament. NYC is so unappealing to travel to. No, I am not joking. I have no desire to ever go to NY again. Been there and it is a waste of money. Milwaukee is great, Cincy works, Chicago is ok. Sign me up for Providence, Philly, or Indianapolis as well.

I love the current Big East (DePaul is a minor problem). I am going to the tournament in N Y for the first time and can't wait. Providence? Seriously? I remember when the A 10 tournament was in Cincinnati after Dayton and X were eliminated no one was there.
