You obviously don't remember the bottom feeder W Coast tourneys we played in, where teams like Pacific were considered an upper echelon team, and we still lost. This year's tourney again lacks a lot of high quality teams. I also seem to remember a Sean Miller coached team win a P.R. tourney with a freshman pg in Tu H., where they beat a national power in Memphis. I'm not saying that CM ducks good competition; he certainly does not. However, the tourneys X has played in during his tenure have hardly featured many jugernaut teams.

However, next year's tourney will be the best X has ever competed in, so kudos to CM and his staff for securing a spot.

Who cares. We are in a field with Duke and Arizona. Finally, a big boy tourney. Truly, a program in transition to top 20-25.

Here are the top 20+ programs (in no order) in my eyes. We are working our way into this discussion:

1) UK
2) Lousiville
3) kansas
4) Michigan St
5) Arizona
6) UNC
7) Syracuse
8) Florida
9) Villanova
10) Ohio State
11) Georgetown
12) Maryland
13) IU
14) UCLA
15) Wisconson
16) Marquette
17) Texas
18) Florida
19) UCONN
20) Michigan
21) Oklahoma

Debatable group after that: (Oklahoma state, nc state, Illinois, Purdue, ND, XU, etc...). We are beginning to fit in this last group. Sure I missed a few.
Based on almost every metric, including the most important (making/advancing in the NCAA tourney), X is definitely a top 15 program. The BE only gave them a bigger national stage. but X has outperformed 95% of the Big 5 league teams even while in the A-10.

Maybe since you have Florida in there twice Xavier can replace one of those.
