Is a Coach of the Year Candidate going to get any Pub?

It surprised and concerned me the other day when Lance McAllister announced the results of a poll on his blog regarding X. The question was which team will you root for on Thursday (or something to that effect). The poll idea was taken from a Channel 12 news poll in which an overwhelming majority of people (something like 75%) said that they would be rooting for WVU because of Huggs. I thought that Lance's results would be diff. because more knowledgeable sports fans would be listening, and thus would trend more towards rooting for X. To my surprise, the results were almost the same as the Channel 12 results.

I know UC and Huggs were big in this city, but I can't believe that people are still tore up over this. They act like a bunch of jilted lovers who dedicate their lives to proving the other wrong. Nancy did what Nancy did in an effort to improve the school and rid it of it's negative national reputation. Get over it. In the mean time, would a little support of a worthy local team kill the city?
