Some tight games today and real surprises

Postby muskieman » Fri Mar 21, 2008 6:59 pm

One that brings a real smile to my face ....San Diego over UConn. Wish a few more BE teams would hit the dust. Most seeded too high, in my opinion.

Not only can they say they beat them but that they have better weather all the time.

Calhoun interview after the game was interesting. He said his team didn't get serious about this game....OH Bob, BOB....Jimmy is stealing your material..
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

There IS PARITY in college now. People deny it, but there are WAAAY too many great players and athletes to go to the 70 or so BCS schools and their 2 - 4 scholarships they have to offer each year.

In addition to the kids that they can't get in, numbers-wise....there are tons of kids people just MISS on and don't recruit....Stephon Curry, for example...or tha TANK of a man from San Diego.

Like I said in another post...it's about unfamiliarity with the opponent...How can San Diego be 21-13 and beat UCOnn? Their conference beats up on each other...and use good basketball and good coaching to surprise non-league opponents.
