I can't figure out any of these teams, let alone Xavier. I have no doubt the players are trying their hardest. I really doubt it was a "heart" issue.
I think college bb is very competitive. Look at Duke. What do you think their fans are saying tonight? Does that mean Coach K can't coach? Does that mean his players suck or didn't try hard enough?
There are hardly ever any UCLAs of the 60s any more. The talent gap is very tight. It seems that almost anyone can beat anyone.
I also think there is always a mental hurdle when being the favorite and all the sudden finding yourself in a tight game (or losing badly for that matter). To come back under those circumstances was amazing to me. I hope X can beat Purdue. They have a nice record and some young kids who may play loose next game, perhaps thinking that their best years are yet to come (sometimes I think the "senior" experience can be a curse - since the players can't look to redeeming themselves the next year).
Incidently, X did beat the spread today. I sure didn't think that would happen after the first half.

Neutral is right. If these guys don't realize they must put 2 good halves together, they're going home soon scratching their heads.
There is no excuse for the first 25 minutes vs. GA. They're pretenders, not champs until they show otherwise for a full 40 minutes.

If Miller and C.J. Anderson seemed to think it was, that's good enough for me.
