the top 5 or 6 A10 teams are extremely tough and All of them play XU with additional passion. let's face it people...X is the most hated team in the A10 (especially the Philly teams). we came in as a newbee and dominated their comfortable little conference. any kind of loss by X is a "party in the streets" for all the other A10 teams! a real "the king is dead" mentality. that burdon is gone when we play non-conference teams, in fact, the big six conference teams tend to view us as an easy kill. this gives us somewhat of a role reversal against them. the hunter is always a better position than the hunted!!!! remember how the giants fell in 04!
all you pitiful fear mongers need to relax and enjoy our talented and battle tested team in the big dance. who cares about the seeding.
bring 'em on!

Very well said treadguy. That is what makes what we've done in the A10 this year so impressive. We are the team that everyone loves to hate and opponents tend to play with an unlimited amount of passion and energy against us. For X to take everyone's best shot time and time again, and still go 15-3 in a much-improved A10 (from top to bottom) is incredible. It's reason to celebrate this season whether we make a deep NCAA run or not.

I celebrate every season and the fact that I am alive to see it. Sean and the players have given us great moments this year and sure have a few more for us next week. I enjoy this team especially because they play and work as a team. We have had stars and done well now we have team ego and are doing better then any other X team has to this point in the season. We can tell our children or grandchildren about this player and that and say work hard like this guy and see the reward and well we can do that with this team showing them to work as a team is to find success in the best way, as a team.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

You may well be right, and we all hope you are.
But we've got a number of guys who have to get their games back on track, especially BJ, but also CJ, JD, etc. If that happens, we can play with anyone.

mr. n,
that is exactly what i wanted to point out. these top A10 teams know that both the regular season title and the tourney crown go thru XU.
they have us in the back of their minds all year long and game plan to beat us more than any other team in the conference. the remaining charter members of the A10 hold an ongoing deep seated hatred for us because we have been kickin' their tails since day one of joining the A10 (with few exceptions). we stole the "annual glory" from the 3 Philly teams and they live to knock us down a notch.
our scoring will definately return when playing an opponent not familiar with just how talented, deep and well coached we really are. watching game film of us is a far cry from playing us year in and year out.

I'd like to see Stanley put up about 20+ next week, and leave the floor leadership to Lavender, i.e let Drew penetrate and kick out to Stan and Josh and BJ. I like Stan's assists as well as the next guy, but we need his buckets right now. And we need Lavender to resume making that happen.

i agree picknroll,
what i don't understand is, why hasn't coach miller already insisted on that. it seems to me that both stan and josh think they need to score using something OTHER THAN their jumpshot. am i drunk....or does josh have an open 3 anytime he wants it? he is nothing but money from out there. he needs to stop trying to create off the drive and put up a minimum of 6 3 balls a game from here out. that will loosen up ANY defense and fuel BJ's confidence to hit the 3 also. am i way off here? seems obvious to me.
