they talked about the ineffective, gimpy, limpy ankle so much i woke up limping! how many times can one ask jameer nelson, "how much did you....?" "oh, a lot"....how much did it.....?" "oh, a lot?"....."how much did those tatoos hurt?" was definitely a philadelphia experiment.. if it was up to the commentators, drew would be in the bleachers with the calathes family wearing a tux.......Xpress wrote:Am I the only annoyed with last night's game call? There are 3 things that chapped my assets...
1. Too much emphasis on Drew's ankle: I understand mentioning it once or twice, but Hubert Davis brought it up about every 5 minutes last night. If I heard one more time about how X isn't capable of getting an efficient shot because Drew Lavender is not at 100% I was going to puke!![]()
2. The 2nd half Jameer Nelson interview: Hey jackholes, there's a game going on. Focus!![]()
3. Seeding! The idiot Hubert Davis actually mentioned how X was unlikely to get a 2 seed because the upper seeds are "usually reserved for top conferences". WOW! I thought team's were considered, not conferences for the NCAAs. Does this officially mean there's a bias towards BSC schools in tournament selection?
I understand that ESPN does mark a nationally televised game. This is obviously good for the program. However, in my opinion, Fox Sports and CSTV is a much better game call.

Re: ESPN's game coverage
What poll does ESPN use to rank the teams? After watching last night it is obvious it must be the USA Today poll. They constantly said that X was ranked # 11. The Philadelphia Inquirer headlines had St. Joe's knocking off # 8 Xavier. Boy, it sure was informative to know that Pat Calathes twin brother was the best shooter in the family. Did anyone notice Jameer had some sort of bandage on the back of his neck? He must be catching up to AI in the unlimate Tat race.
