Lavenders ankle

Postby LyonsIsFlyin » Thu Feb 21, 2008 12:40 pm

Last night I was talking with a friend of mine who works for xavier and I brought up drews ankle and he said he talked to him right when he got back from the URI game and apparently he said his ankle didn't even hurt that much at that game, it was just wrapped so tightly that he had a slight limp that night, so one would think his ankle isn't that bad, lets hope at least.

On a side note, he told me they have been getting a ton of calls from "alumni" who are calling to see if he's ok, and he told me they were advised not to give any details on him because they were book jockeys posing as alum trying to get inside info on his health so they could make the lines in their best interest... something i found funny

<because they were book jockeys posing as alum trying to get inside info on his health so they could make the lines in their best interest>

More likely they were bettors. Vegas has people inside every program (or close to it), pro or college, any sport, and would not be relying on "stuff" from a University employee.

Lyons .. I don't doubt your friend at all, and I don't doubt that he was told to say, I just said that the callers were more likely to be bettors trying to get an edge, and the people who make the line have better sources than making blind phone calls to the University .. I'll give you an example ... the Vegas people had somebody at the Hotel in Providence starting Sunday and thru Monday to "see" and "hear."

Wiseone.... are you yankin our chain? will you please splain : Why would anyone who makes a line bother to go to the expense to put someone in a hotel or otherwise try to get more inside than the average bettor? They make a line, people bet. Too much on one side, they move the line. Triple secret info doesnt help the bookie...all the book wants is to know what the consensus is.

ok, i have an inside 'tip' but don't tell anybody. brian gregory was seen wearing a trench coat, fake glasses, nose with mustache, and making suspicious calls from a cell phone.

it appears that Sean didn't get the memo from Drew because if his ankle is fine then 14 minutes for the Dukes does not seem appropriate.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.
