I love that X is winning - don't get me wrong. But I'm concerned with the fact that they have given away double-digit leads in the past four games. Thank goodness they have the talent and tenacity to absorb opponents' best punches and prevail.
Please, give me a blowout on Thursday night!

They are just teasing the opponent, kind of like when you were young and let your little brother catch up before you beat him...keeps them coming back.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

It goes to show you just how tough this league is. Nobody is going to lie down. It's better to have that cushion when the other team is giving their last push. If Xavier was losing games after blowing leads, then I'd be concerned.

Life is like a box of tires. you never know which one's going to have a blowout. Don't most good conference road games go like that? Announcer says, "they might make a run! And...sure enough the team makes a run. It's part of the script.

I would rather see closely contested games at this time of the year rather than blowouts. Sure, losing big leads can be a concern, but the fact is, they are tough down the stretch and are winning these games. Just gettin' in shape for March.

The last couple of years when we would lose the lead like we have been doing, we don't always get the win. It is great to see that these have learned from the past and don't let it get them and keep fighting to get the win. These close wins will help them in the tourney.

If you will look on the back of our jerseys, there is a huge bullseye on them.
As the writer in the Providence Paper this morning wrote .. "the King was in town" ... and all the A-10 teams want to kill the king.
These nail-biters have been on the road and in hostile environments. Nobody is gonna just roll over because Xavier took the floor.
But, this team, and especially the seniors, "have been there" and they don't fold because a St Louis, or a URI, or a Charlotte makes a run at them.
That is the grit of this team.

What do you call a team that wins every game by 1 point?
National Champs!
Don't care by how much, just win!
