X fighting to be the 5th best team in the BE but...
Based on wins and losses in the BE, Xavier is fighting to be the 5th best team in the BE. But if the BE only gets 4 teams in to March Madness, being the 5th best may not be enough.

It is also possible the 6th best could go while the 5th best goes to the NIT. Xavier has a lot more work to do if they want to make the tournament.

So far, X is getting homered. Maybe the refs think they are in Providence
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

obviously, X will not be in MM unless they win the BE tournament. But ESPN as of Feb 23, 2024 has just 5 BE teams in the field of 68, and 2 of the 5 are in the play in games in Dayton...only 3 BE teams are in the field of 64 for sure.
