David is having a great year, but the game being in NO certainly helped a bit.

That's great, although the all-star game is usually a bunch of dunks, and his mid-range game will be even more overlooked.

20 pts and 9.5 rebounds a game with a team that has the second best record in the NBA also helped a bit. His selection was not a handout because the game was in New Orleans.
