I agree with Anti-Homer regarding Hunter. I was wrong when I said he can not shoot, dribble, pass or should not deserve minutes. Miller has worked magic with him and it is all about confidence. Now I think he is a 2nd team All Big East player. I want to remind you what I said about Des, when many of you thought he was not a player. I stand by my early comment that if he stays at XU for 4 years, he will be an XU great.
Really likes me some Hunter, but he will not sniff any All-BE teams, unfortunately. He is a front-runner for 6th Man of the Yr. in the league, however. Yes, I was glad to be on the Claude Train along with you as well. I remember some posters saying he should not shoot outside of the half-circle under the hoop. It doesn't matter who it was, just glad you and I were both right about him. This a very dangerous team in March with a healthy Free.

Hunter has really turned it around. He's playing with confidence. I think Nunge and Jones are gone. I have seen on a couple mock drafts Jones going in the 1st round. I feel Freemantle may come back. I don't think he is a NBA player yet. May never be. But I was wrong about Marshall too. Boum seems to be worn down some. Even missed 3 foul shots today. Hard to believe Boum keeps having so much trouble with a press. He catches the ball in the corner a lot and gets trapped.

Do not underestimate the significance of that win yesterday. Huge in so many ways. Yes we were a huge fave in Vegas, but we here in local Muskie land realize the perilous situation we were in facing a desperate DePaul team and one that had to have at least some glimmer of confidence having beaten us just two weeks ago. Plus no Des Claude again, much less still no Free. No Kam and coming off a 2 game skid. I loved the fact that X came out possessed & assertive from the tip. Seizing control of the game in the first 8 minutes. Rendering DePaul to slink into a collective psyche of, "oh crap, we are going to get hammered" Never giving them the chance to sprout visions of an upset. So May fab performances already noted by other posters on this thread. It may have already been mentioned, but I feel Kyky played really well. He took a wide open "3" shot, missed it but it was the right choice to shoot as it was within the offensive flow and he was wide open. Also, aside from playing decent and high-effort D, Kyky made two outstanding passing assists. The one to Nunge on a pick 7 roll was flawless and sweet. So nice to see him contribute solidly on both ends as we sorely needed his minutes. This win was a crisis averted.
Nice job and kudos to the players and staff...

I'm not happy that AH left me off the list of those believing in Hunter.

I said at the beginning of the year that Hunter is the difference maker. I supported him last year as well but we all know the coach didn't apply any discipline to the offense. Hunter shooting 3s all game is not a recipe for success. Using his athleticism and length to defend, rebound and get to the rim can make a huge difference.

Being left off a list by AH is a blessing in disguise
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.
