Don’t tease me like this fellas. So you’re saying there’s a chance, a chance we get Sean Miller back! Damn that would make me happy. And yes, we need to fill the ‘Tas to support the aD on Sunday

Guess you don’t know me as much as you think you do. My preferred ride is a sliver shadow. Last time I was in a Lamborghini was a yellow one owned by Steve McQeen. The one he drove in the movie Grand PrixAnti-Homer wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 5:50 pmYou do know Mman has 7 Lamborghinis, right? One for each day of the week. I drive an 08 Dodge Caravan. Please send directly to me.XU85 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 5:29 pmIf this deal happens, I may have to make a small donation to Xavier athletics in both of your names!Anti-Homer wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 4:44 pm
According to a source to me, Miller was contacted immediately b/c an SEC school zeroed in on him. On campus today.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Xavier has the Gamecock fans all freaked out. Bet they up their offer
The Gamecock Insider
@thegcinsider
Ray Tanner has to close this hire.
Cannot afford another whiff, like we had with Kirby Smart in 2016.
Gotta seal the deal.
(Numerous reports saying we are “inches away” from getting Sean Miller, until Xavier stepped in)

Re: Steele walks the plank
I don't think it is about the money at all. He is quite wealthy, and going to a program who hit the lotto four years ago, but probably hasn't been to the tourney more than three times in the last two decades. X has reached the E8 three times in the same period. This simply tells me how badly he wanted back into coaching. I still have reservations based on the recruiting issues in AZ, and despite him never being implicated, I don't believe for a second that he as the HC wasn't in the loop to some degree. With that said, if he has been cleared, I wouldn't hate the idea.muskieman wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 8:41 pmXavier has the Gamecock fans all freaked out. Bet they up their offer

for the record and I like a Miller hire but in 12 years at Zona no final fours and in the last six lost in the first round twice and no NCAA in the last three years.
Lets see if X is competitive in the money. He might just have to be sponsored as the AH & Skyhops Head coach. Need to also pay his assistants

But his four E8s in 16 years of coaching is more than probably 97% of coaches in cbb. Apparently, he was about to sign the bottom line with S Carol., and then his agent called X. That's the narrative. I believe discussions took place during X's annual meltdown, and there was an unspoken agreement that if the job at X becomes open, there would be mutual interest. Then, S Caolina fires Martin two days ago, and Miller, now with a bird in the hand, has his agent call X. Leverage. X learns of the offer, and calls Miller to discuss the terms of a deal. Done, pending approval of the BOT.
He flies back to SC as a courtesy, and to keep the coals warm in case he is not approved by the Board. If he receives word tomorrow that he has been approved, I have no doubt he will be the coach at X. I don't believe Christopher would have made overtures without assurances from the Board that he could. However, it ain't a deal until the ink is dry. Again, S Carolina is simply hedging his bet. Not facts to back up my theory. Just a hunch.

SO we can count on you for his salary. You do get a floor seat and the title but the AD needs to get your check ASAP!Anti-Homer wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 12:48 amTrue,muskieman wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 11:18 pmfor the record and I like a Miller hire but in 12 years at Zona no final fours and in the last six lost in the first round twice and no NCAA in the last three years.
