I like Free and am fully confident he will become a net positive player as the year goes on, but agree he is not there yet. Not near there. It is really perplexing how Steele railed at Hunter for missing an assignment, and relegated a very talented scoring guard to walk on status due to "scoring deficiencies," the last two years, yet Free is Teflon in this regard. Even coach/team sycophants D & V railed on Free for his D, or lack thereof on Wed. Steele simply said he is giving better effort. Freemantle has been a fraction of his last years rebounding strength. Nunge holds his own and Johnson and Scruggs are capable rebounders for guards. Kunkel always grabs a few. Sadly this year Free is a defensive liability. I’d love to see Miles get minutes with Nunge to see how that would work.gym from delhi wrote: ↑Thu Jan 20, 2022 1:40 pmThat lineup might have trouble with consistent rebounding
Somehow I don’t think it will ever happen. Lastly, does any one but me ever wonder why we haven’t looked as good ever since Free returned to the lineup? Check out how we did since his return and how we did as a team.
