AP and Coaches polls
X ranked AP 22 25 in coaches
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

going into the BE schedule the BE has quite a few teams in top 25 and some on the brink

And currently....
Our 1 loss....totally unacceptable to be sure....was to the current 11th ranked team in the country, and Jerry Palm currently has as a #1 seed in the tourney.

It is interesting to read that some analysts still believe they will turn out to be last place in the conference as the conference coaches ranked them.

While I love being ranked, the ranking is BS. If X didn't lose to unbeaten IS, where would we be ranked?
UC beat Illinois who was ranked top 10 if I recall correctly and X destroyed UC. Illinois was likely over ranked but X currently has a resume that should put them closer to 12. That may change on Saturday if X doesn't get it done but rankings should be based on accomplishments with some adjustments for expectations, eye test, etc. The adjustments should be more significant early trending to more fringe late in the season. We are deep enough where adjustments should be more fringe than significant.
