What is the most significant accomplishment in the history of Xavier Mens Basketball?

Probably winning the 1958 NIT….when the NIT was more important than the NCAA Tourney. UC’s are their National NCAA championships back in the early 1960’s. All of those things are a lifetime ago. I was 2 years old in 1958. I was in kindergarten when UC won the 1961 Championship. That’s all ancient history. UC has a lot to be proud of as far as it’s BB accomplishments, but most are from years and years ago. Doesn’t it mean much more what has anyone done RECENTLY? Face it Sweet, UC BB hasn’t been very good recently, neither has XU BB. But I kinda like where X sits right now more than where UC sits. I’m not a UC hater and I do think that Miller will be successful at UC, given time. But the bottom line is that UC got their butt spanked by X yesterday and the way UC has played the last few weeks has not been good. They are going to struggle in the AAC this year against any of the better teams. No amount of smack talking is going to change that. Why not just stop?

well if you want to talk history let's look at it. X won the NIT when it was THE National Championship before UC ever won one but that is ancient history.

But for history I like to look at the last couple of decades so what have the bearkittens done in the last 20 years? Or are you afraid to say, heck, how about the last 25 years? I wouldn't suggest you mention your record in the last 25 years in the shootout because you only have 8 wins. Face it UC has no real achievement in the last 20 years

And if you want to look at football X hasn't had a team since Nixon yet they still have more new years bowl victories than the Bearkittens... although I wish them all the best against Bama
