I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

IF we do get Stanley back in action and Jones and Wilcher are as expected the question will be how do you divide up the minutes? I am sure all the hindsight coaches will have a field day with all the talent X has. Maybe we will have a year where no one disappoints.

Who of the present starters sit?

Xavier would be potentially in a situation where they could sub a whole new lineup all at once.

Imagine...

team A
Odom
Scruggs
Carter
Free
Johnson

team B
Tandy
Jones
Kunkel
Griffin
Stanley

and that still leaves Wilcher and Miles! (possibly Ramsey, but I'm not counting on him ever playing :( )

That's a DEEP team...and if this goes down I will take back all of my pessimism about what to expect from the squad this year.

Here's something else to consider:

EVERYONE WILL BE ELIGIBLE TO COME BACK NEXT YEAR
Realistically we should expect Scruggs, Johnson, and Carter (possibly Griffin too) to find jobs playing overseas, but I'd expect everyone else back. And then X has the to incoming freshman recruits. The future looks bright!

I would expect there are a number of teams with a similar situation as X. From what Andy Mac has said, players that come back (seniors) would not count against the team’s 13 scholarships. Kunkel and Stanley could then have three years. For Kunkel that would be a good thing. I suspect Stanley would go for two and try the pros.

Might be a number of grad transfers available, with seniors getting another year, and I a lot of other transfers in the portal.

And X would have a couple of scholarships available to use to get a transfer or two, if they wanted them. Possibly a real Big that Miles and Edwards could learn from?
