Carter and Scruggs should both limit their 3 point shooting. Open shots in rhythm are fine or obviously late in the shot clock.

Carter had a great game and is playing well. Not everyone needs to be a scorer. He is not taking that many shots and generally they are open looks. Free had some forced shots against Toledo and obviously poor decision making slapping the backboard. He is a good outside shooter but I'd guess he is below average with someone in his face. Hopefully I'm wrong about that but my preference is for him to get the bulk of his point on the block with some open looks from deep.

This team is completely different from the past couple years. There is flow on offense. Turnovers are limited. Decision making is dramatically improved but there is room for growth. The team seems to have shooters but percentages are down due to shot selection, who is shooting and some below average results. Tired legs may have played a role as well.

If shooting percentages are bad on Monday, I'll start to worry. For now, this team shows excitement and potential. Make some shots and these games are a lot of fun.

Madness great post. I guess along with your shot selection comment it seems that the D is pushing our shooters out so X is getting open looks but more from NBA range.
