Just watched on youtube......what a game and loaded with future NBA players on both teams. Gillen was one good recruiter. His staff all became head coaches.

Pete was very good at finding diamond in the rough bigs, Hill, Strong & Williams. None of which were highly recruited, and coaching them very, very well. All three had NBA careers, unheard of for a team of Xavier's stature at the time. He also perfected getting teams to by into the David and Goliath mentality. Grant and West followed, but X hasn't had an NBA quality power forward since them.
