It’s too bad because Creighton seemed to be above it
Scandal as per Dan Wentzel on twitter:
During jury selection in college hoops scandal, a list of schools that may come up during trial was listed to jurors. Includes: Arizona, Louisville, NC State, Miami, LSU, Oregon, DePaul, Creighton, Texas, Oklahoma State, USC
Creighton and DePaul seem to be involved in this mess

Well I am certainly glad Xavier isn’t on the list even though “may” isn’t definitive - it’s not the “who’s who” company you want to be a part of

Ed Summner is listed in the “other relevant individuals” group....along with about 60 other people.

This is going to get ugly
NEW YORK -- During opening statements Tuesday, attorneys for a former Adidas executive did not deny he conspired to or made payments to the families of high-profile basketball recruits.
"NCAA rules were broken," attorney Casey Donnelly told the jury. "We are not going to waste your time pretending these families did not get funds."
Later in the article it talks about the bidding wars for the elite recruits. Given that all-world Zion Williamson is listed and picked Duke, I wonder if the almighty Dookies will skate through.

Work with a fellow who's son plays for a Big Ten Team.
He notes that $$$ payments to parents of elite players quite common.
Heck, I have DePaul Season tickets and cannot think of one player on this squad or in recent memory who was "worth cheating for." Maybe someone from DePaul will testify about how they lost a player, because, if they are, DePaul clearly would be an abysmal cheater.
Hey, didn't Doug McDermott's Dad get paid by Creighton?

Bowen’s Dad implicated Creighton
According to Bowen Sr., Dawkins told him that Arizona assistant coach Joe Pasternack offered $50,000; Oklahoma State assistant coach Lamont Evans offered $150,000 cash, $8,000 for a car and additional money to buy a house; Texas assistant coach Mike Morrell offered to "help me with housing"; and Creighton assistant coach Preston Murphy offered $100,000 and a "good job, a lucrative job."
I love college hoops - this is going to be a tough year.
