Can a contract be “amended” after the fact? Wouldn’t Miller have to agree to the amendment in order for it to be binding?

1) if I already have a signed contract, unless it says that the employer can make changes without my consent, we have a legal problem....talk to my lawyer and get ready to pay. Especially if you fire me for refusing to agree to the amendment. (Coach Steele’s brother...John Groce.....is getting 1.7 million from the U of Illinois, while he coaches at U of Akron and gets paid 350K. I don’t know what his contract says, but I doubt that the university can just change it to say whatever it wants it to).

2). See #1....why SHOUlD I sign it? Why should I agree to that now? Why would I agree to give ANY money BACK to my employer...over and above what I would already owe them based on what my contract already says? This isn’t like signing a traffic ticket and paying the fine to avoid fighting it. We are talking a million dollars. I don’t agree to pay anyone a million dollars if I don’t have to....especially if I’m not getting anything out of it. Did the university agree to give him a million dollar bonus if he is found NOT guilty of breaking any rules?

3). Cheek back with me when it’s time to sign a NEW contract. We. Can talk about it then.
