Pretty uneventful. Someone did ask specifically if it was true that Mack was the front runner and he said no merit to anything until someone is signed. He also said they want a CEO level head coach with a track record of success. Said "candidates" are interested and they know it would be a long-term contract. He also said that the athletic budget is $100 million. Finally, he told the players and they were "intrigued". Feels it should be concluded in about 8-10 days.

All that being said, assuming X does make their best offer to Mack now, he owes it to the players, recruits, and Xavier nation to advise pretty quickly if he will be staying. I want Mack to stay but would not be heart broken if he left -except for the fact that i want the recruits and existing players to stay. Steele withdrawing his name from Evansville job is pretty telling. Either he is getting the job at X or is getting a significant raise to stay at X as the top assistant (ala Sean Miller)
