Bernard and Gaston

Hope they play well tonight and get a chance to extend their careers into the weekend and beyond.
I'm glad for they are getting a chance to play in The Dance. They have represented X well.
Each has done a solid job as role players this year which I believe what Mack had hoped from them when he brought them into the program and before Myles imploded emotionally and Ed imploded physically.
Gaston's stats are very comparable to Reynolds numbers last year -
Minutes per game -
Reynolds - 19.6
Gaston - 19.6
PPG -
Reynolds - 9.6
Gaston - 8.0
RPG -
Reynolds - 6.5
Gaston - 6.4
FG % -
Reynolds - 52.3%
Gaston - 58.7%

Gaston had an ORtg rating per Ken Pom of 112.7 vs. Reynolds 105.3.
And Gaston had an Offensive Rebound % of 15.6% which was 14th best in D1
And Rashid had significantly T's than Jalen.

Bernard number's compared to Abell -
Minutes per game -
Bernard - 27.2
Abell - 24.4
PPG -
Bernard - 6.3
Abell - 6.4
RPG -
Bernard - 3.8
Abell - 1.6
Bernard had more steals - 34 to 17 - but also more TO's 53 to 34.

Big games seem a little fast for Shid, so I would expect more from Jones and Sean. Jalen tended to show up big in big games.

Would agree - JR went for 13 and 6 in his 6 NCAA tournament games.
