Wake Forest Game thread 12/17/2016

Our bench guys need to get some confidence back and get their heads right. Hopefully that comes Tuesday vs Eastern Washington. Without improvement from bench our chances in a strong Big East go down significantly. Our turnovers and offense lapse are linked to too many empty possessions. I can't remember the last time we gave up double digit more shots and got beat on the offensive boards. Bottom line our starters need to get some breaks and the guys off the bench need to be productive.

BTW, I thought Bernard continues to play great defensively. He had several shutdown possession at critical times. I just wish he was more assertive offensively and do some strong drives to the basket.

Ed and JP have been very careless with the ball as well shot selection. Have to agree with MM, we need Davis back to calm things down a bit. Our bench play has been terrible and it looks like Omara and Gates would rather be anywhere but on the court. Having Jones, Goodin, and Gates on the floor at the same time has been a recipe for disaster. Let's hope our bench especially Gates and Goodin can get it together or it will be a long Big East season.
