30 first round picks - gua possible
No one can predict how many guards will enter the draft but just off the top of my head I came up with - Jackson (Duke), Smith Jr. (NCST). Atkins, Simmons, Trier (Ariz), Fox, Monk, Briscoe (Ky) , Bell (UCLA), Fultz (Wash). That's 10 guards (and I'm sure there are more) out of 30 picks. Tre and Edmond will be going to have to be considered above those guards. Then there is many BIGS in the 1917 draft and who knows how many foreign players will be taken. Our guys better get some kind of assurance from a team or risk falling into the second round (ala Semaj). The so called experts are saying next years draft (including the freshmen) will be very deep. So, there is a lot to consider. GoXavier!

I'll wait until April before I start speculating.

For me, I'm speculating whether X will win their next game against UNI

mumuskie87 - I was just trying to point HOW HARD it is to be a first round pick. Just a follow up on the Trevon and Edmond post. Your point is well taken though and I too am just worried about the next game and the games after that. Go Xavier!

I am with mumuskie87 and Shadow. Next game first, then the next, then.......
Frankly, our whole team, as a team, must get better to beat Baylor and/or Colorado and first they have to be better than the last game to beat UNI again.

jct1941 - you are right about being a 1st round pick. Or for that matter just playing in the NBA. Hopefully Ed and Tre have strong seasons this year that warrant being drafted by the NBA. That would be a win-win for the team (and fans like us) and them.jct1941 wrote:mumuskie87 - I was just trying to point HOW HARD it is to be a first round pick. But there are 25+ plus games still to play. Think Ed and Tre can play better than they have so far and hope they will.
