This team

Early on this team shows great potential and is also a bit frustrating. Last night they took their foot off the throat with about 3 minutes to play. Nobody was moving on D and the turnovers started . End result good but I thought I would lose my mind.

The absence of Gates and MD may actually pay some dividends. Players have been forced to lead and be that senior that we really don't have. It also looks to me like we are just a bit off on short passes that may well come to be in a month or so. There have been several feeds to open people under the basket that just did not connect and I think they will when these players get used to each other.

The team is not hitting all cylinders and if it does we have a chance to beat anybody. Gates should shore up the defense on bigs and Myles should improve the ball movement of the guards. I sure love the athleticism of our freshman.

Looking forward to this season as it progresses.

I agree on pretty much all points. To me, as long as we're winning being short two players is a great thing... especially for goodin and jones to get comfortable at this level and gain confidence prior to big east season.

They haven't been pretty wins in all cases but as long as you don't have an atrocious loss on your schedule we'll be fine come selection Sunday.
