I thought I would be the first ...
Didn't get to go to the game today so can someone fill me in?
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Didn't go today - I haven't seen you at any of the games this year MM. Did you and the missus not re-up this year?

Re: I thought I would be the first ...
It was just a pretty average game... Both big girls had a good game... Aly had a good game off the bench and Megan came in the game for some really quality minutes... Ta'Shia had ANOTHER double double... no surprise... Maureen seemed pretty quiet overall... The point guard situation really didn't seem to be any different... Special started the game again.... I didn't see how many turnovers we had at the end of the game, but towards the end I noticed we already had 17 turnovers... That is one of our biggest problems... We cough the ball up like crazy....
I feel like at times throughout the game Amber decides she is going to take over and score and she just does... She struggles at times and other times she looks amazing!!!!! Today was pretty freakin good!

NO x-band we have been to a number of games but the missus has been having some physical problems which has limited our visits.

Sorry to hear about that - hope you've been feeling better yourself this season.
I was about to check CourtClerk.org and see if there were any outstanding TROs against me.

I really appreciate all of the hustle plays by Megan yesterday. At least one of them resulted in a basket. That will make her a crowd favorite in a hurry.
She hasn't appeared in many games lately, but she really made the most of her minutes yesterday.

I got to listen to the 2nd half, and while listening It sounded like an uninspired win over a lackluster opponent.
Then I went and looked at my list of sites, rpi, history on St Joe's etc. and this is a not a bad team.
It appears we shut them down in the paint and the only thing that kept them alive in the 2nd half was 3 point shooting (5-9) and free throws (10-13) that's 25 of their 39 2nd half points. Take away the 3's and they were 7-19 from the field. I just imagine that they didn't have the guns or the guts to do anything in the paint. Rebounds re-iterates my point, 2nd half it was 20-12 XU. 2 more numbers, points in paint XU 44, Hawks 12 and Second chance points 17-5 for XU. Very important number considering recent history 19-24, XU's free throw result for the game, nice work!
Outside of the great night put in by our twin towers, I'm most impressed by April's #'s, 8 points in 9 minutes in the 1st half, 12 points overall in 16 minutes, that's solid work for a new sub, I guess her minutes were limited in the 2nd when she picked up 4th foul (3 in the 2nd half).
Overall, the numbers look like it was a very successful day at work. Go get the Dukes!!!

The Dukes (Duchesses?) knocked UD from the ranks of the unbeaten in A-10 play; best not to overlook them Tuesday night.

Re: I thought I would be the first ...
Hello all - St. Joe's game was better than the Richmond effort overall. Nice to see our ladies jump out to a lead and keep it. St. Joe's never came within 10 in the second half. XU was athletically superior and asserted its advantage throughout the day. I thought the team came out of the lockkeroom with a ho-hum, let's get this over with attitude. Not much emotion.
Askew was flying all over the place. That was great to see. Kept a lot of balls alive. I liked the defense for the most part as well, a lot of hands in passing lanes.
Nice effort also by Tashia and Amber. April Phillips continues to be one of my favorites with her hard-nosed play. It's just fun to watch.
Zone still gives our ladies a bit of trouble, but it seems they're making progress.
On to Duquesne. Preliminary indication is that XU holds a serious depth advantage.
Should be interesting. It's a short trip so hopefully fatigue is not a factor.

Unfortunately, couldn't attend either. Appreciate the info from all. Sounded like a good overall win. Congrats to the ladies. Keep improving and move on. I do have to agree with BBB, I like AP more and more every time out. Love her energy and toughness. Wont back down to anyone or anything. She's been a great addition. On to Tuesday. Can I hear a Dunk the Dukes?
In spite of the cost of living...it's still popular.
