the committee tries to avoid rematches from the previous ncaa tournament in the first two rounds. they can't always do it, but in that case they probalby wouldn't pair us with ohio state.

I have mixed emotions about Tennessee being a 1 seed. I really like to see them do well because it makes our game a better loss but....man........we should have beat them and they are a freakin #1 seed. Just lights a fire under my arse when I see that.

Doh, I just noticed that getting to any games in the first two rounds is not very travel-friendly for Muskie fans. Sweet 16 in Detroit would be nice, though! Any chance we can swap 6 seed locations with Gozaga? OK I've got to stop drinking the koolaid.
Interesting that RI and UMass projected (dreaded) 9 seeds, Dayton a 5. Can we beat UD twice again and turn that around? Their RPI is a very attractive scalp. If I had my choice of winning at URI or at Dayton, it's a no brainer, emotionally and RPI wise.

I would love these brackets. OSU, then Texas (who despite beating them in 04, we still owe from 1990), and with luck Notre Dame in the Sweet Sixteen. All teams I want to clobber.

Jerry Palm has X as a 5 seed going against #12 So. Alabama, with a possible 2nd round game against G'town.

Please God, I hope X does not get sent to play in Little Rock... Or Omaha for that matter. And if we do get sent to either of those places I certainly hope none of the players refer to either of those places as "Siberia"

What's wrong with Little Rock?
I spent a year there one weekend. Actually, it will be more fun than Salt Lake City, but that's about all it will be.
