UConn game thread 2.0
We all know they want revenge. Time to prove X can win on the road again. Get a road kill guys and begin a three-game set that can make or break your dreams.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

X is a 7-8 point dog at U Conn.

Re: UConn game thread 2.0
That line is surprising, given UCON's recent struggles. Consider that Xavier has only lost 1 game by a similar margin, it is even more surprising. Favoring UCON at home when Xavier continues to struggle defensively and is extremely dependent on offense makes sense but 3 or 4 pt spread makes more sense.
If X is amped up for this game and are able to execute at a high level, they should get the win. Matchups are favorable with the exception of 1 UCON player that is significantly more athletic than X. He typically isn't a huge scorer so expecting him to beat X is probably not a high probability bet unless he is doing it in a number of ways - rebounding, creating for teammates and scoring efficiently. Xavier should have the advantage in the post but only if the X bigs play well.

15 point halftime lead... UConn shooting threes but missing threes 1-13 while X is 5-11 but has missed the last 5

Who said we can't play defense besides me? LOL. Happy to be proved wrong. Besides Boum who was beat off the dribble the whole half we hustled , moved our feet and looked like they cared about playing defense. great half guys . Keep up the defensive effort.

Re: UConn game thread 2.0
X needs to put together a second half like the first. Maybe a big enough lead to get some other players in and not over tax the starters. Great to hold UConn to 24. Keep the TOs down and play decent D

U Conn has 21 points in 6.5 minutes. Back to no defense. Reverse the ball make them move their feet and put Hunter in. Need someone who goes strong to the basket
