From the memory bank, one of the best games I ever saw had #6 Villanova beating Xavier 90-88, in Schmidt, in early '64. X had no answer underneath for future NBA er Jim Washington, but conversely (a 60's pun) later NBAer Wali (then Wally) Jones couldn't guard Steve Thomas, either.

Brunson really tough, and need to make him understand he is not the only one on the court with moxie. Double-team him early and make someone else handle the ball. If you sit on Brunson, he'll yo-yo you to death. Control the tempo. Brunson is not tall, run some early JP/Goodwin traps.

Go X!

Reminds of a Al McGuire quote about Phil Ford and UNC's 4 corner offense - "to kill a snake, you have to cut the head off".
X's needs to keep Brunson from controlling the offense for Nova.
This has been a weakness for X on D this year - shutting down the PG.
Case in point - Cartwright for PC.

Agree with others - need to pound it inside and feed which ever big is having the hot hand.
With our 3 bigs, usually one of them is having a strong game.
Against PC it was Kanter
Against Butler it was Big Sean.

And Tre and JP need to say enough is enough and kick some a$$.
I'm pretty sure JP will be up to it.
Concerned about Tre and whether he is 100% physically ready to play.
