I hope he turns out to be a good player, but a 6''11 center averaging 6+ points a game playing in a small Catholic h.s. league is woefully underwhelming. The premature attrition with bigs from the last years (Reynolds, London, Juco big who left before coming on campus) is forcing X to take chances on............"local bigs." When NKU and Wright State offer the greatest competition for his services (along with a handful of less prestigious programs), it has to give one pause. It also speaks of the status of K Jones, whose precarious predicament was foretold by Hops long ago. Keep the insights coming, sir.

Also, Mman, it pains me to chide you again, but why do you have to take a shot at a poster who provides a valuable service to the board by providing inside info? Don't you do the same thing? Just when I was able to get over your anger wall, you add 5 more feet to its height.

BTW, to my friend Pierre, where can I buy your book about the attacks on the Twin Towers being a lie, conspired by the government to push their anti-Islamic agenda? Just my advice, but despite being a cheaper option, I'm not sure filling your attic with asbestos was the best idea.

To keep with my customary glass 4/5 full philosophy, I will say this: Nate Fowler of Butler, a very serviceable backup center, was also a lowly regarded center (relative to the caliber of players X in particular, and Butler to a lower degree - post-Stevens, usually get) on the national stage. If Walter turns out to be equally serviceable, I'll take it, as I don't ever see him as being a starting big, with all due respect.

I wish him the best of luck.

Anti I see the TRO I had placed on you has not worked. Remember how the judge admonished you to take your meds?

Sometimes I wonder..... Are these really serious Xavier basketball fans on this site.? The ink is barely dry and we have folks knocking this recruit. Really. What have you done to score points lately for Xavier, Eh big shots?? That's what I thought. Did you ever hear of a bell curve? It pretty much applies to just about anything in this universe. Certainly applies to the human growth / level of athleticism graph. So how many coordinated 7'1" 250 pound folks do you think are walking around out there about to graduate from high school - that can also Dribbble a little bit and shoot a basketball under duress?
I can tell you that number is far less than the number of high-quality D1 basketball programs chasing them. So maybe we redshirt him a year, let him grow into his body and bang with some upperclassman, refine his skills. I'm confident by his junior year he can produce somewhat similar to Jason love. One thing I can tell you about the kid is he's excited and will give us everything he's got. That makes me excited! Welcome to X Jake. 99% of Xavier nation is thrilled and honored to have you.

Amen, WELCOME to X Jake, we wish only the best for you--and maybe a National championship would be good too!

We will need bigs with Sean and Kareem leaving, so hopefully a good pickup for depth plus always nice to get a local kid. Welcome Jake
