Reigning Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week Ta’Shia Phillips notched her second-straight double-double with 16 points and 18 rebounds and sophomore forward Amber Harris added 17 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Xavier University women’s basketball team past Houston, 69-47, on Friday evening as part of the National City Xavier Invitational at Cintas Center. With the win, XU improves to 3-1 on the year while the Cougars slip to 1-4.

Phillips’ 18 rebounds were one shy of tying the school’s single-game individual record and Harris’ double-double was the 13th of her career.

The Musketeers will be back in action when they take on McNeese State on Saturday, November 24. Game time is set for 4 p.m. and will be followed by the Liberty vs. Houston showdown at 6 p.m.
