Muskie Women Slip Past Richmond

Freshman guard Katie Rutan tied former Xavier standout and current assistant coach Amy Waugh's record for 3-pointers as a freshman as the No. 7 Musketeers defeated a determined Richmond squad 67-55 Sunday afternoon at Cintas Center. Xavier improved to 18-3 overall and a perfect 8-0 in the Atlantic 10 with the win. Richmond fell to 15-8 overall and 4-4 in the Atlantic 10.
Xavier will return to action February 10 as they host A-10 rival Saint Joseph's. Tip off is set for 11:30 a.m. at Cintas Center.
