XU Women Defeat Rhody

Ta’Shia Phillips and April Phillips each recorded double-doubles to propel the No. 10 Xavier University women’s basketball team over Rhode Island, 88-60, on Wednesday evening at the Ryan Center in Kingston, R.I. With the win, which was XU’s sixth in-a-row, the Musketeers improve to 15-3 overall and 5-0 in Atlantic 10 play. URI slips to 9-12 overall, 2-4 in the loop.
Xavier is back in action on Saturday, January 30 when the team takes on Dayton. Game time is set for 6 p.m. at Cintas Center.
