Xavier Women Blowout SLU

The No. 11/10 Xavier women's basketball team dismantled visiting Atlantic 10 foe Saint Louis by a margin of 42, 92-50, Wednesday night at Cintas Center. The Musketeers were led by freshman Katie Rutan with a career-high 25 points on the strength of a career-high seven three-pointers. Junior Ta'Shia Phillips eclipsed the 900-rebound mark after posting 11 boards and 12 points in the contest. She now has 908 career rebounds.
Xavier returns to action January 23 when it travels to Olean, N.Y., to take on St. Bonaventure. Tip time is set for 1 p.m.
