Muskie Women Fall to No. 11 LSU

The No. 13/15 Xavier women’s basketball team was looking to close out 2009 with a win but the Musketeers were unable to overcome a strong first half performance by the No. 11/12 LSU Tigers and fell 56-47 Wednesday night at Cintas Center. With the loss, the Musketeers fall to 9-3 on the season while LSU improves to 11-1 overall.
The Musketeers will close out non-conference action January 5, as they travel to Columbia, Mo. to face the Tigers of the University of Missouri. Tip-off for the Missouri game is set for 7:30 p.m. Xavier will open Atlantic 10 Conference play on January 10, as XU hosts Temple.
