X Women Fall Short at No. 21 Michigan St.

Junior center Ta'Shia Phillips scored 16 points, including the 1,000th of her career, but it was not enough as the No. 8/8 Xavier University women's basketball team dropped a 66-53 decision at No. 21/24 Michigan State on Wednesday evening at the Breslin Center. With the loss, XU slips to 7-1 on the season while the Spartans improve to 6-3.
The Musketeers are back in action on Monday, December 14 when they welcome Michigan to Cintas Center. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
