Xavier Women Victorious in Shootout

Musketeer star Amber Harris scored 17 points and sophomore guard Tyeasha Moss added 14 to lead the No. 9/10 Xavier University women's basketball team past Cincinnati, 69-38, on Sunday afternoon in the annual Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout Battle for the Kendle Cup at Cintas Center. With the win, XU improves to 7-0 on the season while UC slips to 4-4.
The Musketeers are 7-0 for the first time in school history and eclipsed the 2000-01 team's 6-0 start as the best in program history. The Musketeers improved to 5-0 against the power conferences this season and still have five games against the BCS this season.
The Musketeers are back in action on Wednesday, December 9 when the team travels up I-75 to take on No. 21/22 Michigan State. Game time is set for 7 p.m. in East Lansing.
