Lady Musketeers Open Season Victorious at USC

Junior forward Amber Harris looked like her old self, scoring 19 points and grabbing 12 rebounds to lead the No. 11/15 Xavier University women's basketball team past USC by an 81-71 score on Friday afternoon at the Galen Center in Los Angeles. The contest was the season opener for both squads.
XU improved to 26-13 all-time in season openers and 15-4 in its last 19 season openers. Xavier is now 87-4, since Kevin McGuff took over, when it scores 70 or more points.
