Lady Muskies Dance Into Sweet 16

Junior forward Amber Harris scored a game-high 21 points and freshman guard Katie Rutan buried three clutch 3-pointers down the stretch to propel the No. 3 seeded Xavier University women’s basketball team past No. 6 Vanderbilt, 63-62, and into the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 for the first time since the 2000-01 season. With the win, XU improves to 29-3 on the season while Vanderbilt concludes its campaign with a 23-11 mark.
Xavier's Amber Harris scored 21 points on 10-of-18 from the field along with seven rebounds and three assists. Ta’Shia Phillips posted a double double of 15 points and 17 boards.
